South Shore Restoule Snowmobile Club

The South Shore Snowmobile Club was formed in 1988, formally inaugurated in early 1990. In the early days trails were created from Powassan to Lake Nipissing and over to Callander. The system was further extended to Trout Creek and Restoule following some funding from Sno Trac. By 1994 the club was operating 3 groomers in order to keep up with area demand. In the spirit of partnership the Restoule Club combined resources with South Shore to form today’s South Shore Restoule Snowmobile Club.

SSRSC trails extend from the south at Trout Creek going north to North Bay; the Lakeshore Road area, Pinewood Park and Callander Bay. Trails run south westward through Nipissing Village, Restoule to the French River. Connecting with Argyle Riders trails from which you can access the Loring, Port Loring, Arnstein, Golden Valley and South River areas. In the east, the TOP D Trail goes through Corbeil, Astorville, and Lake Nosbonsing areas to connect with Bonfield Snowmobile Club's trails. Two well known touring loops pass right through our trail system: Round Algonquin Park (RAP) and Ride Around Nipissing (RAN).

Come explore the SSRSC’s trails for a mix of riding opportunities, with busy rail bed trails, or more scenic views through the pine bush, there will be lots of photo ops for wildlife and the beautiful sunsets of the Near North. Or you can experience the nightlife in North Bay, and enjoy some local food and amenities!

Volunteers work hard to maintain these trails each year for your riding pleasure, be sure to give them a thumbs up or wave if you happen to see a groomer or brushing crew. None of this would be possible without our gracious landowners allowing us the use of their lands for our winter sport. Please stay on the marked trails! We know those powdery fields looks so inviting, but remember beneath that snow is the farmers livelyhood. Working together we can ensure the sustainability of our great sport.
